Often hills get really boring, obvious names; Red Hill, Broad Peak. The Dragon’s Back, on is the kind of name hills should have. It lives up to it too, offering a relatively narrow crest that leads you up to its summit. Located in a less-frequented area of the Peak District, the surrounding hills aren’t too shabby either – they’re actually the remains of a prehistoric atoll, like those in the modern tropical Pacific! Whatever the November weather throws at us, there’ll be a cosy pub at the end, and dreams of dragons to warm your heart.
