International Trip - The Dolomites (Italy)

Based around the Italian Dolomites, we will spend 2 weeks hiking, scrambling, doing Via-Ferratas, and site-seeing or extra activities on rest days, amongst soaring towers, luscious Alpine meadows and picturesque Italian villages. We hope to build on our successes of the trips in recent years to Norway, the Pyrenees and the Austrian Alps. This is a once in a lifetime trip not to be missed!

The trip will start in a campsite in the area of Cortina d’Ampezzo where we will stay for the first week, we will then have a trip to Venice for some sightseeing and stay nearby in a hostel or campsite for 1 or 2 nights. The second week will be spent at a campsite around Trenta. The exact dates of when we will be staying in each location haven’t been decided yet.

The costs of food, transport, insurance, sightseeing and souvenirs will be covered by yourselves. Looking at past trips we have estimated the total cost (payment to the club and costs to yourselves) to be approximately £350 per week.

SIGN UP*: 23rd February Onwards. There is no limit to the numbers for the trip and sign up will include paying a £50 deposit. You are free to join and leave when you like but any time other than these dates won’t be part of the official club trip.

*Sign up online. Buy tickets on the Leeds University Union website Hiking 'Shop' page at www.luu.org.uk/groups/hiking.
