I hope everyone’s exams went well and that you’re loving life back in Leeds (for those of you that left)! We’ve got a great semester coming up!
11am - 4pm, Tuesday 27th January, Riley Smith Hall
We will have a stall at the refreshers fair so for anyone that would like to know anything about the club please come along and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have :-)
***Cairngorms sign up***
1.30pm, Wednesday 28th January, room 3 in the Union
The trip will run from the 6th – 9th February.
On all our winter trips everyone will be taught winter skills to have a fun and safe time hiking up mountains in winter conditions. After learning these skills the mountains await, such as Cairngorm, Creag Meagaidh and Meall Buchaille in the Cairngorms National Park.
The accommodation comes with its own games room and bar! In order to attend this trip you must have been on at least one weekend trip with the club before and have attended the winter briefing.
Please also come knowing whether you’d like to come back on the Sunday evening or the Monday evening as the trip will be bringing two loads of people back.
The trip will cost £65 for two days and £75 for three.
Please bring your winter boots (must be at least B2 rated) for crampon fitting and see the gear page on our website because having the right kit is critical in winter. Hope to see lots of you there! :-)
We’re heading to the Library pub for 8.30pm as usual! Absolutely everyone is welcome to this even if you’ve never been to anything with the LUUHC before :-) see you all there!!
***GIAG to Malham***
8.30am, Sunday 1st February, Parkinson steps
For those of you with tickets Malham is in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The area is noted for Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, Janet's Foss and Malham Tarn. The ideal place to go hiking for beginners and the experienced. Its set to be a brilliant day! :-) Please don’t forget the no trainers no jeans rule and see our website (the link is posted above) for the list of kit you will need :-)
Have a great week everyone! :-)
