HIKING WEEKLY NEWS - 1st February 2016

Good Morrow Hikers,
Wow! If you weren’t at our GIAG yesterday you missed a real treat. Stuart himself exclaimed that it was the best Sunday hike he has ever been on! We had some snowy winter conditions and a great bunch of enthusiastic newcomers who all seemed to have a good time. Well there is plenty going on in the next couple of weeks to here goes…

***Wednesday Social*** – 3rd February, 8:30pm onwards @The Library Pub
Exams are over, student loans are in and it’s bloody cold in those student houses! So you all have a perfect concoction of circumstances which justify coming along to a nice warm pub for your favourite tipple and a good old chinwag. Also the lovely Esther will take any orders for club buffs in case you have been massively suffering from buff envy recently.

***Sunday Hike to Brimham Rocks*** Sunday 7th February leaving 9am sharp at Parkinson Steps Cost £10
A beautiful local hike around Nidderdale which will feature some of the weirdest rock features you’re ever likely to see. There’s a Dancing Bear, an Eagle and an Indian’s Turban! Lots of opportunity to mess about on some rock while admiring the beautiful farmland around.

---Sign up for Brimham Rocks, Monday 1st February at 8pm---
Spaces will be available on a first come first serve basis and can be accessed via the link below at the above time:www.luu.org.uk/groups/hiking
