The Howgills is the area between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. These national parks have recently been extended to include this area, which on a map appears as a complex swirls and knots of contour lines. Subsequently, this is a perfect place for a navigation-focused Sunday skills hike! It also boasts the longest waterfall in England, if interesting terrain and views of both the Lakes and Dales weren’t enough.
